An annual pet wellness exam includes:

  • Examination of the heart & lungs
  • Examination of the teeth & gums
  • Examination of the eyes, the ears, and the nose
  • Examination of the skin & coat
  • Palpation of the lymph nodes & abdomen
  • Palpation of the joints and muscles

Dixie Animal Hospital strongly recommends keeping your pet up-to-date on their vaccinations. If you are unsure about the current status of your pet's vaccinations do no hesitate to call us; we can sort it out in a few minutes. Vaccines are the most affective way to prevent the diseases they are commonly associated with. Most preventative care can be completed during your pet’s annual exam. During this time, the veterinarian is able to assess the pet’s overall health and discuss with you any recommendations that they may have for your pet.
